Born in Nagoya City, January 3, 1940, Nishimura Michiko studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Nomura Seihō.
She began teaching in 1966.
She was a counselor of the Koto Seigen-sha and a lecturer at Moriyama Women's Commercial Koto Club.
