Born July 8, 1923 in Hachioji City, Hasegawa Hidee (Hasegawa Hideko) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Matsumoto Mine and Ikuta-ryū under Tanaka Fujie. She was active as a performer and teacher for more than 50 years and belonged to the Sōyō-kai.
