Takaba Yōga (Takaba Yōko) was born in Tokyo, April 13, 1942. She studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Fujii Chiyoga I and Nakanoshima Kin’ichi. She began teaching in 1964. A graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts, she was affiliated with the Shinchō-kai and Fuji-no-kai.
