Yamakawa Mitsuko

Born June 25, 1919 in Tokyo, Yamakawa Mitsuko studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Yamakawa Enshō. She won third place in the Tokyo Shimbun Japanese Music Competition in 1957, and passed the NHK Audition in 1957. She belonged to the Shunwa-kai. Her career spanned more than 40 years.
