Born October 23, 1913 in Niigata Prefecture, Hasegawa Chiyose (Hasegawa Ine) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Nakanoshima Kin’ichi, Satō Miyose I, and Koshino Eishō. She started teaching in 1942 and belonged to the Seiga-kai.
