Mizoguchi Chikako was born November 8, 1930 in Tokyo.
She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Miyagi Michio, graduated from the NHK Hōgaku Ikusei-kai, and began teaching in 1952.
She belonged to the Miyagi-kai and was head of the Akebono-kai.
