Born February 16, 1935 in Yamanashi Prefecture, Kajiwara Itsuhō (Kajiwara Yoshihiro) studied Itsudō-ha Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Ikeda Itsuren. He started teaching in 1963 and was a member of the Shakuhachi Itsuren-kai.
